Site Description
On a local summit some 380m above OD, is a stone, described on the OS Map as a boundary stone, but possibly a former standing stone. Now fallen, it is aligned E-W and measures 2m in length, 0.4m square in section at the base, tapering slightly towards the top. It appears to have been erected in the centre of a kerbed base measuring about 2m square. At the W edge of the kerbing is a similar, but smaller stone, 1.2m in length, 0.3m square in section. Both are formed of the local limestone.
